Banned Keywords allow you to block specific words and phrases from being used in AI-generated messages, message templates, and the chat input field. This helps maintain safe, compliant conversations and prevents unwanted content.
Where Banned Keywords Apply
Banned keywords are enforced across three areas:
AI Chatter: The AI will never use banned keywords in its responses
Message Templates: Blocked words cannot be included in saved templates
Chat Input: Manual messages in the chatter interface are checked against banned keywords
Accessing Banned Keywords
Navigate to Chatter AI β Settings β Banned Keywords to view and manage your keyword lists.

Include variations: Add different forms of words (e.g., "meet", "meeting", "meets") for comprehensive blocking
Be specific: Avoid overly common words that might block legitimate conversations
Review regularly: Update your custom list based on new trends or issues you encounter
Check system keywords first: Before adding custom keywords, search the system list β it may already be covered
