Employee shifts allow you to assign team members to work on specific creator accounts during set time periods. This guide walks you through the complete process of creating a shift.
Starting a New Shift
There are two ways to create a shift:
Click the + Add Schedule button in the top-right corner of the Schedule page.
Click the + button on any day cell in the calendar, then select "Create Employee shift".
Step 1: Type & Assignment
The first step configures who will work and on which creators.
Schedule Type
Select Employee from the dropdown to create a human-staffed shift. (Select "AI" for fully automated shifts - see the AI Shifts article.)
Creator(s)
Select one or more creator accounts that this shift will cover. The employee will be able to chat with fans on behalf of these creators during their shift.
Employee(s)
Select one or more employees to assign to this shift. You can search for employees by name using the search field. Multiple employees can be assigned to the same shift if needed.
Step 2: Recurrence
Configure whether this shift repeats automatically.
Enable Recurring Schedule
Toggle this on to automatically create repeating shift instances based on your settings.
Recurrence Pattern
Choose how often the shift should repeat:
Daily: Shift repeats every day
Weekly: Shift repeats on the same day each week
Monthly: Shift repeats on the same date each month
Recurrence End Date
Optionally set a date when the recurring schedule should stop. Leave blank for indefinite recurrence.
Step 3: Dates & Time
Set when the shift takes place.
Dates
Use the calendar to select the start date for the shift (or the first occurrence if recurring).
Quick Shift Selection
Choose from preset time ranges or create a custom one:
Custom: Set your own start and end times
Full day: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM (entire day)
4am - 12pm: Morning shift
7am - 1pm: Early day shift
Timezone
Select the timezone for this schedule. This ensures shifts are displayed correctly regardless of where team members are located.
Completing the Setup
Once you've configured all three steps, click Create Schedule to save the shift. The shift will appear on the calendar immediately.
