Managing Employee Shifts

Track your team's working hours and schedules with the Shifts feature in Employee Statistics. This guide shows you how to view and manage shifts.

🎯 What Are Shifts?

Shifts allow you to:

  • Track when employees are actively working

  • View scheduled coverage for each day

  • Review historical shift data

  • Ensure adequate staffing across time zones


πŸ“ Accessing Shifts

The Shifts section is located in the Employee Statistics dashboard, below the main charts.

You'll see two panels:

  1. Today's Shifts – Current day's scheduled coverage

  2. Recent Shifts History – Past shifts within your selected date range


πŸ“… Today's Shifts

This panel shows all shifts scheduled for the current day.

What You'll See

  • Employee names and their scheduled times

  • Shift duration for each team member

  • Coverage gaps if any time slots are unassigned

Navigation

Use the < > arrows to browse different days:

  • < – View previous day

  • > – View next day

Empty State

If no shifts are scheduled, you'll see:

"No shifts scheduled for today. Check back later or manage shifts."

Click the "Manage Shifts" button to:

  • Create new shifts

  • Edit existing schedules

  • Assign employees to time slots

  • Set up recurring shifts

This panel shows completed shifts within your selected date range.

What You'll See

  • Employee name – Who worked the shift

  • Date and time – When the shift occurred

  • Duration – How long the shift lasted

  • Performance – Stats from that shift (optional)

Empty State

If no shift history exists, you'll see:

"No shift history found. Completed shifts will appear here."

Filtering History

The date range picker (e.g., "08 Nov 2025 β€” 08 Dec 2025") controls which shifts appear in the history.

Correlate shift data with performance metrics:

  1. Note which shifts generate the most revenue
