Post-Media Messages are follow-up messages automatically sent after a PPV has been sent within a script. They're designed to maintain engagement, build anticipation, and encourage fans to unlock the next content or respond to the chat.
If the fan doesn't send a message, these automated follow-ups help boost conversions by making the interaction feel more alive and natural.
When you create a message template in Tools > Scripts, you can add one or several Post-Media Messages. Each message can include text (optional if you attach media), media attachments (optional if text is provided), and a wait time in seconds.
The Wait Time defines how long Substy should wait after the previous message before sending the next one. If it's the first Post-Media Message, the delay starts right after the PPV is delivered. If it's the second or third, the timer starts after the previous Post-Media Message is sent.
Message 1 (2s): "Before you see that... I want you to think about how good it'll feel to watch this" — Builds curiosity before the fan opens the content.
Message 2 (4s): "It'd mean a lot if you watched it, I tried my best you're gonna love it" — Encourages emotional connection and boosts the chance of unlocking.
Message 3 (120s): "I expected a different reaction" — Sent later if the fan still doesn't reply — re-engages them naturally.
Add at least 2-3 Post-Media Messages per PPV.
Vary tone: mix teasing and emotional.
Use realistic delays (e.g., 2-5 seconds for the first, 1-3 minutes for later ones).
Avoid repeating the same message pattern across all PPVs.
