Automation messages in Substy are not limited to a single message. You can build multi-step message sequences that deliver a series of messages over time, with configurable delays between each step. Combined with sequence rotation and AI-generated content, this system lets you create sophisticated, varied automated interactions.
Each automation can contain multiple sequences. When an automation has multiple sequences and is set to "Send Every Time" frequency, the system rotates through sequences round-robin style. This ensures fans receive varied content even when the same automation fires repeatedly.
Content Text — The body text of the message. Can be static or AI-generated. Use {name} to insert the fan's display name.
Delay — The delay before this message is sent (in hours, minutes, or seconds).
Media Attachments — Attach media files from your vault.
Price — Set a price to make it a paid PPV message. Setting to $0 sends content free.
Enable AI mode on a message to have the AI compose dynamic, personalized content at the time the automation fires. The AI uses the creator's voice preset, the fan's history, and the current conversation state.
An AI-generated message must be the last message in the sequence. You cannot place AI messages at the beginning or middle with static messages following it.
AI-generated messages in automations require a Pro plan or higher. The Free plan supports static messages only.
When Stop on Reply is enabled, any remaining messages in the active sequence are canceled if the fan replies. This prevents the automation from interrupting an active conversation.
Messages within sequences can be automatically unsent after a configurable delay, creating urgency and keeping conversations clean.
Keep sequences short — two to three messages per sequence is optimal.
Use escalating delays — start with short delays and increase them.
Always enable Stop on Reply to ensure the automation does not interrupt real conversations.
Use AI for the final message so the AI can adapt based on fan interaction.
Create at least 3 sequences for any "Send Every Time" automation.
