Notifications are real-time alerts that keep your team informed of all key activity — from new fan messages to AI system events. They're essential for chatters and managers to react quickly, close more sales, and monitor how the AI and fans behave in real time.
You'll find notifications in the top-right corner of the Substy interface (bell icon). They also appear live inside the Messages tab, so you can act instantly without leaving your workspace.
You'll see notifications for: new messages from fans, new subscriptions, purchases of PPVs, tips sent by fans, and Substy alerts (hybrid triggers on fan).
Every event is synchronized instantly: new messages pop into the inbox, payments and tips appear directly in the conversation, subscriptions and renewals update automatically, and AI or hybrid mode changes trigger alerts for transparency.
Message — A fan has sent a new message.
Purchase — A fan bought a PPV.
Subscription — A fan subscribed or renewed their sub.
System / AI Events — Alerts about AI or hybrid mode changes (e.g., a fan reached a spending threshold and was auto switched off).
If you're using Hybrid Mode, Substy will send a system notification whenever the AI is automatically disabled for a specific fan. This usually happens when the fan reaches the spending threshold you defined, or when the fan has been chatting long enough to trigger the sub duration handover.
You can filter notifications by type to focus on what matters: click the bell icon, choose filters such as Messages, Purchases, Tips, or System, and clear individual alerts or all at once.
