The Scripts section is one of the most important parts of Substy. Well-built scripts help your AI chatter sell more, keep fans engaged, and generate consistent revenue.
Start by creating a new script and giving it a name. This name is only visible to you — it's meant to help you stay organized. Once created, you'll be able to add message templates inside your script. Each message template is a pre-defined message + media offer that the AI will send to fans when making a PPV (pay-per-view) request.
When creating a new message template, fill in the following fields:
Name of your message template — Internal name to identify your template.
Price ($) — The initial price assigned to the media when first sent.
Content — The message text attached to the media. Write this content in the creator's native language.
Post-Media Messages — Follow-up messages sent after the PPV is delivered.
Medias — Choose one or more pieces of media to send. (Videos sell 3x more than photos!)
Base Price ($) — The first counter-offer shown if the fan doesn't buy immediately.
Max Price ($) — The final offer price during negotiation if the fan refuses the base price.
Pricing is key. Avoid sending paid content right away or setting high prices from the start. Your goal is to build trust, create excitement, and gradually increase the value of your PPVs.
Example progressive pricing: PPV1 (Teaser 1) = $0, PPV2 (Teaser 2) = $0, PPV3 = $9, PPV4 = $17, PPV5 = $32, PPV6 = $54, PPV7 = $72, PPV8 = Free gift to thank the fan.
Each PPV should feel part of an ongoing, natural conversation — like a live experience. Make sure the content evolves gradually and keeps the fan engaged from message to message. Pro tip: Include several pieces of content in each PPV to raise perceived value and encourage higher conversions.
You've just created your first script! Your AI can now automatically use it to send offers, respond to fans, and boost your revenue.
